Make sure that you toggle on the permission to manage messages visiting your Instagram app:

  • Tap the menu and visit "Settings and privacy".

  • Select "Messages and story replies".

  • Select "Message controls".

  • Under Connected Tools you can toggle on "Allow access to messages".


If you have troubles, please verify that you have granted all the required permissions visiting your Business Integrations: make sure that also the permission to "Manage and access messages for the Instagram account connected to your Page" has been switched on.

Then you can try to reconnect your Instagram account: just click "Connect" on Profile Settings and follow the instructions.

This service is supported only for Instagram Business Accounts. If you want to connect a Personal Account or a Creator Account, you need to switch your account type on your Instagram App (Settings → Account → Switch Account Type).
